Frequently Asked Questions
At what age should I bring my child to the dentist?
Dr. Appelbaum recommends that children should begin seeing a dentist at 3 years of age, unless you suspect there may be a problem. At your child’s first visit the hygienists will clean your child’s teeth and educate them on proper brushing and flossing techniques. Dr. Appelbaum will meet with you at the conclusion of the visit to examine your child’s teeth, gums and jaw and address any concerns you may have. Children should continue to visit the dentist two times per year throughout childhood to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
