Dental Lifeline Network (Donated Dental Services)
Our office is a proud participant of Donated Dental Services of Rhode Island. We provide needed oral health care to several individuals in Rhode Island each year, who are disabled or medically compromised and can not afford necessary dental treatment. It is very rewarding to see these patients leave our office pain free and smiling once again!
Operation Christmas Child
Throughout the year our office collects donations for Operation Christmas Child.
Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse collects shoe boxes filled with a variety of gifts for children between the ages of 2 to14. Our office has been donating several shoeboxes each November for this wonderful cause. We would like to increase the number of boxes with your help.
Some examples of gift suggestions are below:
Toys: Dolls, toy cars, stuffed animals, yo-yo’s, toys that light up, etc. Be sure to include batteries if needed.
Non-Liquid Hygiene Items: Bar soap, combs, brushes, washcloths, etc.
Accessories: T-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, watches, flashlights with batteries, etc.
A Personal Note: You may include a note to a child and a photo of you and your family. If you provide your name and address, the child may be able to write back.
School Supplies: Pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, markers, scissors, tape, coloring books, picture books, solar calculators, protractors, folders, etc.
Cash Donations: Postage for each box is $7.00 so cash donations are also helpful.
DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items, war related items, chocolate or food, out of date candy, liquids or lotions, medications, vitamins, breakable items, or aerosols.
Items for Operation Christmas child need to be small enough to fit in a shoe box.
Each November our staff will use these collected items to fill individual shoe boxes for children of varying ages. We then pass these along to a local church that will deliver the boxes to Samaritan’s Purse.
Last year our office donated 35 shoeboxes, thanks to the generosity of our patients. Our goal for 2015 is to collect 50 or more!!!
